2010 marked twenty years of the marvellously emotional occasion of German reunification. This was the culmination of peaceful revolution across Europe and the fall of the Berlin wall. It was also the start of a new phase of expansion of the European Union.
Germany had come home. Yet we watched and were surprised that few official events and even less individual initiatives took place. So we decided to show that a feel good factor can be developed and promoted with a smile. That’s why we suggested turning May 1 and October 3 into smile days.
Thanks to everyone for their reunification offerings of emotion.
